The Bits Most People Ask

Why £5,000?

Because most of it is spent on you before your first job: the van deposit, the wrap, the kit, six months of marketing and the software. Priced at what an agency would charge, the package is around £20,000, and that is before the Dropby name on your van. Other window-cleaning franchises charge £10,000 to £20,000 to join and hand you a logo and a manual.

What's the van deal, exactly?

A Nissan e-NV200 electric van from the Dropby fleet, wrapped in our colours, on your drive within 30 days. We pay the deposit, the wrap and the monthly payment, and keep the van on our books, so there's no finance, no credit check and nothing in your name. It comes out of our 20%. It costs pennies a mile to charge and nothing in the ULEZ. You cover your insurance, water and kit.

Who pays for the ads?

You do, direct to Google and Meta on your card, so you see every penny. We build the campaigns, write the ads and tune them every fortnight for the first six months at no charge. A sensible starting budget is £300 to £600 a month. After six months we sit down with the numbers and agree what's next.

What do I need to bring?

Your water-fed pole kit, your water, your insurance (public liability, £2 million minimum) and your ICO registration. We'll tell you exactly what to buy and where, and what it costs, before you pay us a penny.

What's the territory like?

One partner per area, agreed in writing before you start. We'll never put another Dropby van inside your patch. Areas are sized to support a healthy round.

What if I already have customers?

Bring them. We don't take 20% on the round you brought; only on the new work we generate together. Spelt out in the agreement.

Can I leave?

Yes. 30 days' notice, no exit fee. You hand back the keys and walk away clean: no van finance, nothing to settle, no branded van to sell on. The Dropby page, email address, ad accounts and software access come back to us. The £5,000 isn't refundable, because it's been spent on your launch in the first month.

Can I use your canvassers?

Yes. Our door-knockers already know the Dropby pitch. Book them by the day for your area, pay their day rate direct. We take nothing on it.

What stops you taking the leads off me later?

The agreement, the relationships you'll build with those customers, and the fact that our incentives point the same way. The 20% only works for us if you're winning.
